Colleague runs the Paris Marathon & raises over £600 for HOPE

Kristina runs the Paris Marathon for HOPE

Last weekend Jo’s colleague, Kristina, at the Responsible Hospitality Partnership took up the awesome challenge of participating in the Paris marathon, that’s running 26.2 miles in the wonderful city of Paris!

You may remember this is where HOPE started their journey 5 years ago, when Tanya took on her first charity ride. Read Tanya’s story here!

Kristina’s run started at the Avenue des Champs-Elysees, downhill towards the Place de la Concorde before turning into Rue de Rivoli. Passing along the way some of Paris’ most famous sights including the Louvre, the Place de la Bastille, the Seine, the Pont Neuf and the Eiffel Tower.

Finishing the race in just under 5 hours she says… “Well it is complete, I finished the Paris marathon in 4hrs 50mins, slightly slower than anticipated but the hot weather and pre-race illness got the better of me! It was a great experience and an amazing way to see Paris. I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for supporting me, it is greatly appreciated. Post-race Paris was beautiful, there was significantly more champagne drinking than sightseeing!”

By running the race Kristina has raised over £600 including giftaid and her page is still open should you wish to show your support “”:

Thanks so much Kristina for completing this amazing feat and for all your wonderful friends and family for supporting HOPE so generously.
